At last Google now have their very own phone!

Its an impressive piece of hardware (manufactured by HTC).

Theres multi-touch and all that other blah blah smartphone stuff but whats in it for the average "geeky" consumer?

That would be the snapdragon processor!

1ghz of pure computing power with support for 720p HD video playback and 3D hardware accelerated games!

However android + no physical input = terrible gameplay!

Currently theres no PSX emulation, etc.

The hacker community will catch up soon with this baby.

Till then theres better stuff out there.

FINAL VERDICT: If I had to spend my hard earned money on a new smartphone for Christmas, I'd pick a iPhone 3gs for its AppStore, the HTC HD2 for its massive screen, or a Motorola Droid for well......EVERYTHING!(remember Droid does)

Here are some of the key details you should know:

- Price: $530 unsubsidized and unlocked (ouch!), $180 subsidized on the T-Mobile network with a 2 year contract.

- Rate Plan: $79.99 per month on T-Mobile, which includes unlimited texting/MMS and web data, along with 500 minutes. This seems to be the only plan available, even if you’re already on another plan with T-Mobile

- Purchasing: You can buy up to five Nexus One phones per Google account.

- Cancellation: If you cancel within 120 days, you have to pay the subsidy difference ($350) or return the phone to Google.

TRIVIA: Our beloved ENGADGET reports that the MOTOROLA SHADOW is gonna be a new addition to Google's smartphone family, but thats just a rumor......or maybe...............
